There is only one pier in Long Beach. It’s called the Belmont Veterens Memorial Pier and it’s populated with grizzled old men.
From their web site.
Fishing regulations: Fishing licenses are not required on public piers in the ocean or adjacent bays - but remember, size limits and bag limits still apply.
For further information, please see the California Department of Fish and Game website.
Hours: The Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier opens one hour before sunrise and closes at midnight daily.
Facilities: Lights, fish-cleaning stations, restrooms, and a bait and tackle/snack shop.
Parking: Parking is available at the city lot located at the foot of the pier. The rate is .50¢ an hour with a 10 hour limit. Do to street sweeping, there is no parking allowed between the hours of 6:30am - 7:30 am Tuesdays.
