Dolphins are human too!

Jan 31 2009 / 6:13 pm Was written by admin 25 Comments Made

I was able to train for a day and then play with Dolphins at the Aquarium in Purta Vallarta Mexico. SOme of the footage also shows how intuitive and smart the Dolphins are. Check out the Dolphin and the little girl interacting through the tank glass. They are beautiful beings of light and energy. It is so sad that in Northern Japn, they are being slaughtered by the thousands WEEKLY. Do a search for Dolphin Cries or killing dolphins for the videos on YOUTUBE. The music is from my latest album release WIND RIVER RANGE and you can download or buy the full album on www.tinymadidea.com. I will donate a $1 to the Dolphin Foundation for each album sold because of this YOUTUTBE video!

Flatfish, Vancouver Aquarium

Jan 31 2009 / 6:15 am Was written by admin No Comments Yet

These fish have both eyes located on the same side of the body.
I read a Nature article about these fascinating creatures a few months ago, where a new fossil flatfish was described that is thought to be a transitional form between flatfish and “traditional” symmetrical fish.

Dolphins’ Sex and Birth – Liagen

Dolphins are marine mammals that are closely related to whales and porpoises. There are almost forty species of dolphin in seventeen genera. They vary in size from 1.2 metres (4 ft) and 40 kilograms (88 lb) (Maui’s Dolphin), up to 9.5 m (30 ft) and ten tonnes (the Orca or Killer Whale). They are found worldwide, mostly in the shallower seas of the continental shelves, and are carnivores, mostly eating fish and squid. The family Delphinidae is the largest in the Cetacea, and relatively recent: dolphins evolved about ten million years ago, during the Miocene. Dolphins are considered to be amongst the most intelligent of animals and their often friendly appearance and seemingly playful attitude have made them popular in human culture.
